Hilary McGrady told Jeremy Paxman that she did not have the ‘bandwidth’ to deal with the interim report on links with colonialism and slavery properly last year and felt that she was under pressure to produce it quickly. She said the idea that report was politically motivated was ‘absolute nonsense.’
