Same fare wherever we go—we now eat at a local pub instead
Dear Editor,
It used to be a joy to visit NT properties as most had a very enjoyable café or even better a restaurant. These places used their imagination and produced and sold a wide variety of snacks and meals made with local seasonal produce.
Now though they are all identical. As much as we love the curried cauliflower pasty and their one pots and soups, we do NOT want the same thing everywhere we go!
This is not an area of operation that should be dictated from the centre. What a soul-destroying job being an NT chef must be now. They are not allowed any imagination and must work from a menu dictated by the centre.
They have lost our custom, and we look for a little local pub nearby now.
Best regards,
Mick and Eileen Joy
