‘National Distrust’: a new report on democracy in the National Trust

Zewditu Gebreyohanes, formerly our Director and now a Senior Researcher at the Legatum Institute, has written a report on 'the roll-back of internal democracy in the National Trust'. She shows how the 'quick vote' is used to silence critical voices within the charity. She also looks at how new arrangements for the AGM has resulted in many members being prevented from attending in person.

The report received wide press coverage, including articles in the Independent, Evening Standard, Daily Express, Third Sector and The Times.
