Volunteers should have a say
Dear Editor,
I would like to have been able to vote at the forthcoming National Trust AGM in Bath on Saturday 5th November but, after making enquiries with the NT, I have found that I'm not eligible to vote in spite of my having been a volunteer at NT Dudmaston for more than 10 years.
In fact, whilst I can visit NT properties with my Volunteer card, this does not give me full membership status which I believed that I was entitled to.
I consider this to be entirely unfair and I believe all volunteers should automatically become members, with full voting rights. I would like to see a discussion of this at the upcoming AGM.
Thanks.
Ken Cowdry (NT Volunteer)
