National Trust staff made up of ‘70 per cent progressive activists’

The Director-General of the National Trust has said, '70 per cent of my staff and volunteers would be regarded as progressive activists.' This is a staggering admission from a charity which is meant to be non-political and exists to preserve heritage and nature for us all.

But what Hilary McGrady says, many members of the National Trust already know. They have seen it in the way that the National Trust leadership has lost its focus on preserving heritage and nature in favour of fashionable causes and gimmicks.

That is why Restore Trust is endorsing candidates for the National Trust's AGM who want the Trust to concentrate all its resources on protecting and looking after our heritage for the benefit of everyone in our country - 'progressive activists' or otherwise.
